uring the Fancy Dress Ball on the night of the 5th of July, it rain consistently in Thunder Bluff, where the party was held. This, however, did nothing to dampen the spirits of the participants. Not even the organizers or ball staff selling ale and beer showed any disappointment. Many characters came in clothes of all sorts, from simple dresses to farmers carrying pitchforks.

There were competitions throughout the night, but some of these were overshadowed by the roar of the great fire and other party members in the background. The competitions were held, and judged, by the host Druzila the Troll and her helper Kuruk the Tauren. The two had a very special announcement to make some time into the party. Kuruk proposed to Druzila. When the Troll agreed to the marriage, the massive party continued and intensified.

Once the action had settled, the competition to determine the best dressed character began. The crowd held their breath as the judges discussed. The winner was decided to be the orc Ruk Bloodskull in his gold-plated armor.

Towards the end, a curious sight appeared:

Two little pirates that appeared identical, except for the axe one carried, pronounced the figure as an "alien". I have searched through the few orc scrolls that are stored in Orgrimmar, and I cannot find any reference to this strange word. If any of our journalists do discover anything, we will publish our findings.

The complaints I heard from the evening were minor and, for the most part, fun was had by all. Some people complain that it grew cold towards the end of the night. Also I noted that there was some, if not many, curses and rude language. This was probably a combination of the lateness of the hour, people having too much to drink, and the dancing girls in fancy costumes.

The party drew to a close with cheers for the hosts, Druzila and Kuruk, the ball staff and entrants.
