n
31 July, Mr. Rysla from the Silver Hand
denounced the following:
"I
was in the Stormwind bank today, minding my own
business, when a group (I seem to remember five) of
humans, both male and female, rushed into the building,
and raised swords to the tellers in an attempt to steal
the gold!
While
at first I considered keeping quiet to prevent any possible
retaliation, I eventually threw caution to the wind,
and cried at the top of my voice for help, certain that
the People's Militia or the Citizen's Militia
would rush to stop this foul crime.
This
seemed to scare the perpetrators, who fled without much
loot, shouting something like "Yearg" or "Yurrg".
It
was not for a whole ten minutes that a single member
of the People's Militia answered my calls for
aid; and then the respondee seemed wholly uninterested,
sauntering up at barely a stroll.
They
seemed to steer to the conclusion that it was pirates;
although quite what pirates were doing at Stormwind,
I don't know! The member of the Militia asked
me which way I thought they went, and again sauntered
off at barely a stroll in the direction I pointed them
in.
Neither
my name nor any statement was intend
to catch the perpetrators I don't
|
|
know."
Mr.
Deviant Fellheart, from the Citizen Militia,
answered with these words:
"My
apologies for not being there to stop the tragic event
personally; however, rest easy while on my off duty
hours in Goldshire I apprehended one of the thugs
who boldly bragged about the robbery, and he gave a
full confession.
So
as not to cause public anarchy, no names will be given,
however, I can confirm that they were pirates."
Commander
Minetha E. Nightingale, leader of the People's
Militia, also wanted to give a public answer to
Mr. Rysla's worrying, and stated:
"We
could not come for a "whole ten minutes",
due to the fact that both of the Militants on duty at
the time were being attacked by a dangerous criminal.
Leaving him to escape, or one of us leaving, would've
been a death-sentence for the other.
Also,
your scream was not heard all the way over in the Dwarven
District, and we propose that you should've sent
someone to get us. Of course, in the end, the patrol
that the guards do in the bank every 3 minutes should
be, and has been, enough to keep the bank unrobbed.
We
do apologize, yet again, we cannot be
|
|
everywhere at once, nor do we have a sixth sense for
crime.
The
same pirates, I believe, who had walked through a blockade
of Militants, a door, (almost) killed a Militant with
one swift punch, stolen "all the money" from
our office.. The list goes on. These criminals are well
known, and thus it was easy to know who they were.
And,
please clarify, for what reason would you like a single
Militant to run after a band of pirates? To get himself
assaulted?
If
no statement was taken from you, no name was needed
either.
Even
though you feel that we cannot do our job or whatnot,
I'd like to remind you that these pirates have been
apprehended and the loot returned to the bank."
Both
civilian militias claim to have arrested the thugs,
and agree that they are part of a band of pirates. The
goods they stole have been returned to their owners,
so we can say "all's well that ends well",
but...
Though
these are good news, the citizens are still waiting
to know what will happen to the criminals. There will
be a public trial? Will they be fined and jailed? We'll
do our best to find out about this, and deliver the
news to you!
