ome members of the Horde had been planning to destroy the night elf village of Astranaar for quite some time. At 9:30 pm on Wednesday the 5th of July, many of them gathered at Kargathia Keep in the Warsong Lumber Camp (Ashenvale), where they finished shaping their plan.

Reports from the horde taking part in the raid on Astranaar, have informed the Azeroth Journal that they planned to blow up the base, using special explosive traps and dynamite bought from goblins. It is not clear if there were enough traps to cause serious structural damage to the village.

Many horde and night elf men and women fell during the first part of the battle. Alliance reinforcements arrived in time to stop the attack, before many of the traps were in place. Some minor damage was caused to some civilian houses and an elven barracks, by the traps that were placed before the alliance could muster a strong resistance.

This was clearly not just another random attack, but carefully planned, as the

attackers steered away from any civilians. Although appearing not to want to cause harm to any civilians, the horde did kill one. This seemed to be more of an accident than intentional.

The attackers said that this raid was in honor of their hero Grom Hellscream, and since the base he built in Moonglade was destroyed by night elves, it seemed right,

to them, to destroy a night elf base. Whatever the reason, they were outclassed by the alliance, and finally defeated.

Unfortunately, the Azeroth Journal was not permitted to publish photographs of the inside of the Keep, since it would disclose the identity of the attackers, who wish to remain unknown.
