tap my foot on the stone floor impatiently. It was mid-morning and, unless the weather had suddenly changed, it was sunny outside. It was quite hot too on Fray Island. The proud sun shone brightly, unfearing and relentless. I wish I was more like the sun. With this being the first interview I have performed for the Azeroth Journal I was a little nervous. The fact that I new almost nothing about the interviewee, other than he was a combatant in the Blood Lord of the Horde contest, only added to my worry.

I waited for the orc combatant in the training centre as was arranged. He had lost his duel so I did not expect a warm welcome. The orc appeared and I beckoned him in.

I wasn't expecting the welcome I received. The orc had a smile on his face clearly showing both tusks. We sat and the interview began…

Trogar Këgnash: I have not heard of you before. Where were you born and where do you live now?
Snorkyorky: I was born in Durotar and captured by the gnomes. They killed my father. Now I live in the Crossroads.

T: Captured by gnomes you say.
S: When I was born the gnomes captured me and my family. They killed my father and captured the rest.

T: That's awful.
S: I know. (looks sad) I never knew my father.

T: I've heard you called the alliance hater. Was this your choice of title?
S: (spits on the ground) I hate all Alliance, especially gnomes.

T: I see.
S: The humans called me this name and raised me as a gladiator. I am still a gladiator today.

T: So you were raised by humans?
S: (nods) Yes. My family were kitchen slaves, and I was a gladiator since 8.

T: Wow. Does that mean you know common?
S: I know a bit.

T: How did you feel about becoming a gladiator?
S: I still am one now, and the Alliance taught me to fight. (smiles) I killed an officer, (stops smiling) and me and my family were put into the Stockades.

S: I also kind of helped them. I helped the Defias start a riot in the Stockades. (snickers) While Stormwind burned, me, my family, some horde and some Defias escaped. (laughs) I also slayed a few Defias, gnomes, humans and a dwarf in the riot. The goblins at Booty Bay sheltered us then we went to Ratchet.

T: Back to the event. What did you aim to achieve by participating?
S: I was happy to show off my duelling skills in the event that I used when I was young.

Snorkyorky raises a mug to his mouth and drinks something.

T: Have you any particular skills?
S: I am a good cook ...hic! I am the guild restaurant co owner and bandage maker.

T: I am very sorry you lost. You must be gutted. What are your thoughts about your opponent?

S: He was a strong and talented rogue.

(smiles) I wish him good luck in the future. The best orc won. Disappointed I let the guild down because they wanted me to win. But still. (smiles again)

T: What do you plan to do now the event is over for you?
S: Me and my guild restaurant will go travelling soon and serve food to the Horde.

T: Will you be coming back to compete for the title of Blood Lord next year?
S: Yes. I am glad I was runner up and I will hopefully get a rematch ...hic!

T: That's it. Is there anything else you would like to add?
S: I have a likening for a blacksmithing and cooking.

T: Blacksmithing. Make your own weapons do you?
S: Yes. I sell them and make money. (smiles) I recently made 6 silver selling a belt I made. I can only make copper things yet but I am moving on to bronze soon.

I stand up smiling. Snorkyorky stands too. After I've got some photos of him he and I bid each other farewell with a salute.
