Obituary - Lord Percival Ravensword
On the morning of Tuesday 13th June, Lord Percival Ravensword set out from his manor house overlooking Loch Modan with his son Sir Gawain Ravensword and an entourage on a hunt for bears. Tragically, Lord Percival's horse lost its footing and fell, trapping the 60 year old Kinght of the Silver Hand underneath. Those present quickly removed and humanely put the horse out of its misery. Lord Percival was initially thought to have suffered only a broken left leg and a few broken ribs. However, his condition deteriorated in the evening, and local physicians say his ribs had in fact punctured some internal organs. Lord Percival Ravensword was declared dead at fifteen minutes past the hour three on the morning of Wednesday 14th June. His widow Lady Clair Ravensword and son Sir Gawain Ravensword were in attendance. The customary mourning period is being observed by Lady Clair, but the young knight Gawain cut short his mourning and returned to the city of Stormwind, upon hearing of attacks by the Scourge. His first act upon arriving at the city was to present himself before King Anduin Wrynn, and reaffirm the allegiance of his house to the King and to swear personal fealty to the young ruler. Lord Gawain Ravensword has returned to his duties as Lieutenant in the People's Militia during this time of crisis, and his only comment to this reporter over the tragedy was that grief over what is lost to him is overshadowed by what may be lost to all. From here, we send our support to Lady Ravensword and her son Sir Gawain (soon Lord Ravensword): this is not only a loss to their house, but also for us all in these days of darkness.
