Subject: Pressure mounts on high-profile criminal Minetha to resign over torture scandal!

Stormwind's official guild of criminals, the self-styled 'People's militia' were today rocked by further allegations of torture and an admission by their commander that police brutality has her official sanction.

Head - criminal, Commander Minetha 'Easy' Nightingale now faces further calls for her resignation as pressure mounts. Senior Militia members speaking anonymously ((in game whispers)) commented that the beligured commander had 'lost her grip' on the organisation, another concluding 'she has to go'. Casual violence is said to be rife within the organisation which has attracted mounting public criticism in recent weeks.

Still reeling from the scarlet missionary torture scandal the People's Militia now face allegations regarding the violent beating of 'Shroudtear'. Accusations have surfaced that uniformed officers allowed a detained prisoner to be publically beaten.

Public outrage in Stormwind boiled into outright anger today when it emerged Commender Minetha appeared to have lied regarding recent outrages. Reacting to the scarlet torture scandal the Commander commented 'The Peoples' Militia have -never- tortured nor physically hurt any prisoner or criminal in any situation, unless in self-defence. ' - today that account was described as being in tatters when the commander unexpectedly revealed : 'A small dose of violence from the public is allowed for those being publicly humiliated'.

Questions are now being asked as to the fitness of the militia itself and commander Minetha for public office.

Speaking from Headquarters in the Cathedral of Light, Sister Magwitch, a high-profile victim of recent police torture commented - 'this siuation is getting frightening, the people of Stormwind deserve a better police force than the one they have - no-one has the right to torture or beat people'
