Editorial: Scarlet vs. Militants
These days, the peace of our city of Stormwind is being deeply disturbed by the fight between the Scarlet Missionaries and the People's Militia. New accusations from each side are thrown everyday. The stress is starting to taint people's lives, and the tense atmosphere makes common citizens feel confused, and even worse, worried. No one is safe anymore, and you, dear reader, could be the next victim of this war.
Scarlets accuse Militants of torture, and their leader of madness. Militants claim that Scarlets are liars and agitators. Is there any truth among all this mess? Everybody seems to have an opinion, though no proof at all has been presented, from either side of the conflict. You can't walk the streets without hearing people talking about it, often in whispers.
The situation seems to get worse everyday. Though this newspaper has tried to reflect everyone's concerns, the flood of accusations will not help to solve this issue. We are a neutral organization, and so we will not take part in this conflict. But we are also a public service, and it's our duty trying to improve people's lives. So, from here, I want to make a petition to all the citizens:
If you come across any proof that could throw some light on this matters - pictures, documents, anything -, please contact us. I give you my word that our informants' identities will remain secret if that's what you want. Our only purpose is to find the truth behind the rumors, and present the raw facts to the people so they can have their own opinion.
And from here, I'd also like to throw an offer to both sides: if you feel that you're being unfairly treated, contact us to give your personal view on the subject, and defend yourself from accusations.
It is my wish and hope that, with everyone's effort, we will be able to stop the violence's raise, and bring back the peace to our beloved city.
May the Light always shine upon you, dear readers.
